Lawrence Masonic Center Has Moved
After nearly a year of planning and construction, the Lawrence Masonic Center has occupied its
new facilities at 1301 E. 25th Street, Lawrence, Kansas. The Center development has included
an enlarged kitchen and commons area, a more spacious lodge room, and private parking to
accommodate up to forty vehicles.
While as a fraternal organization, we are bound by the Lawrence municipal code to a location in
a heavy commercial or industrially zoned property, we have the freedom to use the property as
we see fit within the law. The organizations may again plan fraternal or community functions
and the space may be rented for meetings, weddings, private parties, etc. by both members and
non-members. These popular activities were not allowed by our lease at the former location.
A master calendar will be maintained by the Scottish Rite office.
The new building is ADA compliant, has adequate parking, and all facilities are on one level.
Consequently, any members who have not attended because of the inconvenience of steps or parking
may now come back to the bodies that have missed their participation and fellowship. We hope
all members and friends will return to fellowship and enjoy the improved facilities that are
now our own.
The bodies regularly meet according to the following schedule:
1st and 3rd Monday - International Order of the Rainbow for Girls
1st and 3rd Tuesday - Lawrence York Rite bodies
1st Wednesday - Lawrence Scottish Rite bodies
2nd Monday - Lawrence Lodge Number 6
2nd Thursday - Acacia Lodge Number 9
3rd Tuesday - Social Order of the Beauceant
3rd Friday - White Shrine of Jerusalem
