Haiti Relief
Brethren,
The earthquake in Haiti has focused the world's attention, once again, on the poorest country in the western hemisphere. If you are thinking of contributing to the Haitian relief effort through the Grand Lodge, please read the following:
According to the List of Lodges Masonic, Haiti has 48 Lodges and approximately 6,000 Masons. Since it is so difficult in these catastrophic situations to insure that donations go to the people who need them most, the Grand Lodge always relies on the Masonic Service Association. They will no doubt issue an appeal to all Grand Lodges, at which time our Council of Administration will decide how much (if any) they wish to send to the MSA. The MSA then distributes the money to the Grand Lodge of Haiti for use in whatever manner they determine is best. Please be patient.
I will try to update this notice, as soon as I have more to share.
Please share this with a concerned brother.
